Gmail . Completely free for private users, supported by the world-famous company Google . It was first launched in 2004, has one of the most convenient web interfaces. It is flexibly configured, has a system of extensions. Registering a Google account with an email address gives you access not only to email. This is a whole pool of related products: search, cloud storage, office applications, data synchronization on different platforms, etc. For business, there is a paid version - Google Workspace. All general account addresses end in @gmail.com .
Outlook (formerly Hotmail ). A similar solution, but from belarus phone number data another IT giant – Microsoft . It has been operating since 1996, providing access to the infrastructure of Microsoft products – office, instant messengers, cloud storage, developer tools, etc. The web interface of the mail service is effectively supplemented by desktop applications for Windows OS. For business and working with your domains, there is a special set of tools and subscriptions – Microsoft 365 Business. Regular users can also switch to a paid subscription with its own benefits. Shared mailboxes are registered on the domains @outlook.com or @hotmail.com.
Yandex.Mail. Has been operating since 2000, and is accompanied by the largest Russian search engine. As with other IT giants, along with the new mailbox you get access to a whole range of related services: cloud disk, maps, online cinema, messenger, etc. What is noteworthy is that customers can switch to a paid subscription and use mail on their own domain. The following mail domains are available for free - @yandex.ru (main), @ya.ru, @yandex.com and some others (additional, created automatically, the list of available zones depends on the user's region). There is a special offer for business clients.
Mail.ru. A unique Russian service, it has existed since 1998, and is now included in the VK product structure (cloud, social networks, games, search, etc.). The domains @mail.ru, @internet.ru, @list.ru, @bk.ru, and @inbox.ru are offered as general addresses. One of the few services that can automatically generate mailboxes for collecting spam (used to fill out registration forms). Clients can switch to a comprehensive subscription that removes ads and increases the size of the cloud disk. For the business segment, there are VK WorkSpace subscriptions. VK Mail should not be confused with VK WorkSpace. VK Mail only works on vk.com domains and only opens in the social network as a mini-application.
ProtonMail. Secure mail with full encryption of mailbox contents. Supported by a company from Switzerland. Has been operating since 2013. The main focus is on paid subscriptions and services: VPN, secure storage and online calendar. But there are also free plans in the range.
Since Outlook.com has not gained widespread distribution in the Russian Federation, and ProtonMail has problems with blocking, below we will focus on services from Google, Yandex and VK.
