Advantages and disadvantages of Microsoft Office 365
Advantages
The main advantage for users is that they can work from anywhere, even independently of their own hardware, as long as an internet connection is available. Since it is completely cloud-based, it is possible to access emails, files and Office programs (Word, PowerPoint, Excel) from anywhere in the world and from any device. It is still possible to save files locally. It should be noted, however, that Microsoft does not offer a data backup and recovery service, so subscribers are dependent on services such as Backup Office 365 from Altaro. The software enables the backup and recovery of emails as well as files in SharePoint and OneDrive. The integration of the data in Altaro's Azure infrastructure is also possible. The management of the licenses, which are available as a monthly or annual subscription, is very flexible and working in teams is also made much easier. Software updates are carried out automatically at no additional cost.
