This is explained in particular by the weight of participatory journalism in the digital development of the media over the last twenty years. The second explanation is the great plasticity of this category which sees the coexistence of calls for one-off testimonies, publications of editorialized productions (such as blogs), through those of comments, opinions or sharing of photo and video contributions. The common point is however the control by journalists over the editorial process which is not delegated, as highlighted by research work on participatory journalism .
