Content marketing for a startup is totally different from any other context. When starting a business, there are two characteristics that will strongly define our strategy.

First of all, a startup has extremely limited medicare leads email list resources . Any investment must be carefully studied, for example, the possibility of hiring a content agency or freelance writers, or even doing it ourselves.

Secondly, we must not, under any circumstances, squander our competitive advantage . As Paul Graham , the famous American entrepreneur and investor, says :

The best startups are created by founders who are passionate about their project.

This is the key to providing excellent content and we must take advantage of this factor.

Based on this unique context that presents a business with its two pillars just mentioned, I will share below what we did in our online project and how we implemented it at the content strategy level.

Content Marketing for a Startup
From the inside out
Our first starting point was the development of a news section for our current clients —and why not, the general public— about everything that was happening in the context of the business (products, services, news, etc.). This section was and is currently written by us, the founders.

Let's look at a concrete example: let's suppose that our business is about Motorcycles, we sell motorcycles and accessories online. How do we then get our first and future customers?

The best way to do Content Marketing for a Business is through notes, videos, tutorials, event reviews, new product presentations , etc. This is what Braaap Motorcycle does in Australia and sells all over the world.

An example of this is an article that includes a video and description explaining “ How to ride a Dirtbike motorcycle ”:

This is a clear reference on how to use online content to generate new clients , both for your current users and future clients around the world, and it is also a way for you to learn how to apply content marketing to a business.

If we as entrepreneurs are truly passionate about what we do, we will definitely have thousands of things to share and teach.

Another reference is Kissmetrics, where they offer software to measure what happens daily on our online site. They have an excellent blog that I personally follow every day, where they share advice, learnings, guides and tutorials:
