Toruń is not a market rich in job advertisements for copywriters, and yet fortunately, shortly after I had my professional epiphany, one of the interactive agencies started looking for candidates for this very position.
I remember that the application form itself was a test of skills. No CV or cover letter was required. You simply had to catch the recruiter's attention. The agency liked my first email – dry, specific, based on facts and real benefits of hiring me. The next ones were told to be written in different styles. After that, it was standard: meetings, tasks and finally success: I got the job!
What a copywriter should know
Today, a good few years later, as a marketing consultant I advise and train in a much asia rcs data broader scope, but I still carry out copywriting assignments and conduct training courses or university classes in this field.
I find the ability to write good and effective texts very useful. So I keep up with this type of work and have my own view on what a copywriter should follow to develop.
A good copywriter, I deeply believe, educates himself not only in the use of the Polish language or the art of persuasion. He is no stranger to the intricacies of psychology, sociology, behavioral economics: everything that can have a real impact on the effectiveness of the messages he creates.
Don't lock yourself in a bubble of reading about copywriting alone . Learn how people make decisions. What moves them. What they strive for. First, understand who you're writing to. Always leave the typing for last.
