Szymon: It is difficult for me as the author to judge this, but compared to a dozen or so eagles of Polish universities, the new UMK logo is quite visible.



Artur: The first comments are harsh on the logo. Scrambled eggs, Pacman… that's what it brings to mind. Students are creating events on Facebook, demanding the restoration of the old logo. What do you think about it?

Szymon: We knew what the situation might look like. A wave of negative, emotional opinions in social media always appears in the case of such changes. This was the case with the new PZU logo, a few years ago with the change of the brazil rcs data Gdańsk University of Technology logo, and recently with the famous red spring. Everyone thinks they are experts and connoisseurs of the subject, they look for strange associations in the logo, they look for similarities with others. Zero substantive arguments.

Besides, this sign was not created to please everyone, because that will never be achieved. And that is not its role. If at the beginning we had assumed as the main rule that the sign should be liked by the largest possible percentage of people, I am sure that a "pink unicorn" would have come out of it...
