You are already present as a company and as a personal brand (or with various personal brands) in selected social networks. You have these profiles, pages and groups well under control. Perhaps you have already sorted and tidied up using the tactics described above. Now you want to tap into further offers.
This is what to do:
In order to put the expansion of your presence on a solid basis and to create and maintain order, you could proceed as follows.
⇨ Check and reserve (if you haven't already done so) your (user/company) name on other platforms. Services such as NameChk and KnowEm could help with this. Of course, only a detailed strategy development can show which platforms are relevant for you.
⇨ Set priorities. What are the main communication channels? Which do you want to start with? Which do you want to expand later?
⇨ Determine who can say what, where, when and in bc data what form for your company.
⇨ Describe processes and coordination plans in detail, clearly and in a way that is understandable for all those involved: Who is responsible for what? Who needs to be informed and when? Who reacts in the event of a crisis? What needs to be taken into account?
⇨ Familiarize yourself more thoroughly with all the functions of the individual offers and develop the accounts in a targeted manner. If your XING contacts have not yet been tagged, you could do that now. You could create Twitter lists. Or you could make greater use of the design and functional options of your Facebook page. Depending on your strategy, think about premium accounts, Facebook ads and stronger networking between your website/blog and social networks.
⇨ If you haven’t already done so, think about tools that will make it easier for you to work together.
⇨ If you haven't already done so, establish a sensible monitoring system. See "Control tactics". If you already have one, expand it further so that the results are more meaningful and can be used in a targeted manner when you expand further.
The expansion tactic is based on a functioning strategy and only works well if it is regularly reviewed and further developed. This always includes the corresponding internal processes and tools - these will be discussed in more detail in further articles over the course of the year.
