Digitalization against declining donor numbers

German Donation Council eV publishes the latest “Balance Sheet of Helping”. Number of donors in Germany falls below 20 million for the first time. GRÜN is developing new digital products to counter this trend.

According to the recently published balance sheet of the German Donation Council , 5.1 billion euros were donated in Germany in the calendar year 2019 - slightly less than in the previous year, but still at a similar level. In 2019, however, the Donation Council also recorded an absolute negative record: the number of donors fell to a historic low of 19.5 million.
