Your ISP won't hack

Another popular privacy solution is Tor. It is a combination of software and a network that hides your identity by bouncing your traffic through various Tor servers and encrypting your traffic. However, there is good reason to believe that Tor is not as secure as people think. The US Department of Justice recently dropped a case because it did not want to reveal how it had hacked Tor.

your Tor connection. For most people, the real problem with Tor is that it's very slow.

Should you really be concerned about the above? I think so. Sure, the major ISPs claim they're not going to spy on you, but I don't believe them. Even before the U.S. government allowed ISPs to sell turkey whatsapp datahistory, the big ISPs were known for taking liberties with sensitive data.

For most people, the best solution for protecting their privacy online is a good, fast VPN provider they can trust. I'm sure you'll find one you like.

At the recent Kaspersky Security Analyst Summit, independent security researcher Amichai Naiderman said that almost all Samsung smart TVs that have gone on sale in the last two and a half years could be easy targets for hackers. According to ZDNet, Naiderman claims that Tizen OS, which runs Samsung smart TVs, was not developed with modern security requirements in mind. “I counted over 40 vulnerabilities in it, almost every system application has a bug,” he said.

Tizen OS is the successor to such operating systems as MeeGo, LiMo and Bada, and its developers include Intel and Samsung. The system was created as an alternative to Android, but its popularity is limited to Samsung devices so far.
