Shuvashish Sarkar Shuvo, Haluaghat: The 13th founding anniversary of Jayadayin newspaper was celebrated in Haluaghat. On Wednesday, June 6, to celebrate the 13th founding anniversary, a colorful rally was organized at 11 am under the initiative of Haluaghat correspondent Joton Chandra Ghosh and in the evening, a cake cutting, discussion meeting, prayers and iftar mahfil were organized at the community center of Hotel Imex in the municipal town.

The foundation anniversary program was presided over by the Haluaghat representative, and the colorful rally and discussion meeting, prayer and iftar mahfil were attended by the newly elected Mayor Khairul Alam Bhuiyan, Joint Secretary of the Upazila Awami League, as the chief guest, Upazila Executive Officer Zakir Hossain, Upazila BNP country email list Joint Convener and former Upazila Chairman Alhaj Ali Azgar, Upazila Puja Celebration Parishad General Secretary Professor Joydev Dutta, Upazila BNP Joint Convener Azizul Ahsan, Project Implementation Officer Mohammad Shahid Ullah, Municipal Engineer Md. Idris Ali Akand, Awami League leader Abdur Rahman, and others.



Present at the event were municipal councilors Abdul Aziz, Abdullah Al Faruk Mallick, Md. Nur Nabi, Muktar Hossain, Mohammad Shamsuddin, Russell Abdullah Al Baten, Asaduzzaman Zaman, Rebecca Sultana, Siddharth Richil Titu, Moniruzzaman Swadhin, Fatema Khatun, Aklima Khatun, Haluaghat Press Club President Md. Hatem Ali, Model Press Club President Saif Zaman, General Secretary Shuvashish Sarkar Shuvo, journalists Md. Saiful Islam, M.A. Hamid, Rafiqul Islam Swapan, Dulal Roy, Abdul Awal, Moniruzzaman Monir, Saidur Rahman Raju, Dewan Naeem, M.A. Khalek, Malek, Tariqul Ashrafi and local dignitaries.

Staff Correspondent Godagari: Rajshahi's Godagari General Hospital has been awarded the Mother Teresa Gold Medal 2018 for the second time. The Bangladesh Human Rights Cultural Society selected the private hospital for the gold medal for its contribution to medical services at the rural level.

The non-governmental organization formally presented the Mother Teresa Gold Medal to Godagari General Hospital Managing Director (MD) Abdullah at the Shishu Auditorium in Dhaka on Friday at 5 pm. Supreme Court Appellate Division Justice Siddiqur Rahman was the chief guest at the award ceremony.

In 2003, the privately owned Godagari General Hospital was established in the upazila headquarters. Since then, Godagari General Hospital has been providing medical services to the people of the upazila and the surrounding Char of Chapainawabganj. Incidentally, in 2016, Godagari General Hospital received the Mother Teresa Gold Medal.

In 2017, Dr. Abida Khatun Shima, a temporary physician in the gynecology department of this hospital, received the Mother Teresa Medal for her contribution to medical care.
