What is Cyber Monday?
Cyber Monday was an initiative promoted by the phone library Colombian Chamber of Electronic Commerce (CCCE) . While it was in effect under that name, it had more than 15 editions and the last one took place between June 24 and 30, 2023.
This event was created with the aim of increasing consumer confidence when making online purchases, offering discounts and competitive offers on the most popular and appreciated brands by Colombians.
In its latest edition, Cyber Monday received nearly 1,400,000 visits and more than 3,000 new registered users. The results were in line with the objective of promoting online shopping throughout the country, according to Álvaro Umaña, Corporate Affairs Manager of CCCE.
This is one of the reasons why the Colombian Chamber of Electronic Commerce continues to lead the development of activities focused on strengthening the ecommerce sector in the country.
What are the dates for Cyber Monday 2024?
Through a statement issued by the CCCE on September 13, 2023, it was confirmed that the event known as Cyber Monday would be renamed HotSale , starting in October of that same year.
According to the entity, the name change was due to the strategy of reorienting this initiative towards an omnichannel approach, which would allow it to reach a wider audience, increase sales opportunities and adapt to consumer trends .
Therefore, to know when Cyber Monday is, the dates now correspond to the HotSale schedule proposed by the CCCE in its calendar of events for 2024. Specifically, HotSale (formerly Cyber Monday ) takes place.
