Publicis Group has a new figure in charge of guiding us through the metaverse: his name is Leon and he is an avatar . It may seem like a joke, but this is the latest strategy of the French advertising group, which has promoted Avatar Leon . The aim is to help clients navigate the metaverse and develop personalized strategies for Web3 , according to the company.
The first public appearance of this funny avatar was at Viva Technology in Paris , a technology sector event taking place these days. At that meeting, the intelligent lion shared his CV and his experience in the metaverse, focused on Web3, NFT and artificial intelligence.
The avatar was created by Marco Venturelli, creative director of Publicis France . According to Venturelli, Leon's main mission is to "motivate us all to be bold and progressive , because the sooner we move, the further we can go."
Publicis CEO Arthur Sadoun explained that “the metaverse is not a destination oman number data but a real-time learning process for everyone.” Therefore, “it requires questioning, education and experimentation,” he added.
“We are committed to supporting our clients on this journey to help them understand what it means for their business and to bring to them the Group’s existing Web3 skills in data, media and technology. Leon embodies this as an avatar and will help our clients thrive in this new channel navigation and move forward every step of the way,” said the CEO of Publicis.
The metaverse, a new space to navigate
Despite being a buzzword for months, consumers are still not entirely familiar with the metaverse . A study conducted by Wunderman Thompson Intelligence last March showed that only 15% of consumers are able to adequately explain this concept to other people.
In this sense, 68% of consumers referred to the metaverse as the next-generation internet and 74% considered that this concept is directly related to the future .
