Structure of the coffee service set
When serving, the coffee service set can be a useful tool for setting the table. The oval trays are ideal for transporting a cup and saucer, a jug and a matching coffee spoon, and for presenting the coffee utensils attractively.
It is important to arrange them correctly . The rules state that the milk jug must be on the far right. The coffee cup and saucer are placed on the left of the tray. A little above and nicely in the middle is a sugar dispenser. Honey should be served separately, however, as it does not belong on a coffee iran phone data service set. Since most people are right-handed, the handles of the jug and cup point to the right. The coffee spoon is placed last on the right side of the cup. Finally, all that is missing is a biscuit, which can be placed on the left side of the saucer (more on that in a moment). Now the coffee service set is ready and you can serve it to the guest.
Refilling is a little less formal and more suitable for everyday use . You don't need new cups, but carefully pour the guest new coffee from the right side. Often the guest will hand you the cup - you should make sure that the saucer is also handed to you so that not a drop of coffee goes to waste. Etiquette suggests that you take the cup and saucer straight away and then refill. This way you take as much work off your guest as possible. Refilling is done behind the guest's right shoulder to avoid accidental mishaps and to ensure that no hot coffee is spilled.
The right cup size
Choosing the right cup is also crucial for the presentation and enjoyment of the various coffee specialties.
An espresso should be served in a small, thick-walled cup that retains the heat and concentrates the aroma.
A cappuccino , on the other hand, requires a larger cup to accommodate the foam.
For a latte macchiato, a tall glass is preferred to make the layering of milk, coffee and foam visible.
An Americano is ideally served in a medium-sized cup that has enough room for the additional water without diluting the flavor.
And for the trendy Cortado , we recommend a small glass or porcelain cup, which optimally displays the same amount of espresso and frothed milk.
