Amazon Echo Show × Cafe

Post by ishanijerin1 »

With the provision of power outlets and free Wi-Fi, it has become possible to use computers and smartphones in cafes without any stress. However, as a result of the requirement for a comfortable IT environment, the problem of a worsening turnover rate has arisen as more businessmen and students use cafes for work and study. In some cases, this has led to a deterioration in business. Some advertising database cafes have taken measures that are not customer-first, such as making chairs uncomfortable and spacing tables uncomfortable, in order to improve turnover. It would be sad if the trend of being able to relax and think without hesitation in a cafe, or chatting with friends you haven't seen in a while in a relaxed atmosphere, became unacceptable.

That's where the "Amazon Echo Show" comes in! "An Amazon Echo Show on a cozy, relaxing cafe table. For customers who are alone and bored, music videos and fashion information are introduced, for customers with friends, interior furniture that came up in conversation is introduced, and for businessmen and students who are working, short trips for the weekend are introduced, and other recommendations that blend in with the relaxing space are made. If the advertising engagement rate of products and services is maximized during leisure time (≒ relaxation time), the store can receive advertising exposure fees from the recommending company, and the recommender can expose the advertisement in a very natural flow that is not one-sided. If something like this could be realized, it might be possible to create a win-win situation for the store, the customer, and a third party.

Popular bakeries and bakeries at lunchtime tend to be extremely busy at the register. This is because they have to wrap each loaf of bread in a bag to prevent it from sticking together and losing its flavor. At the store I often go to, they have to work with four people, one to ring up the cashier and one to wrap the bread, during lunchtime on holidays, as the accounting and wrapping work takes so much time. I wondered if they could just solve this by scanning barcodes like supermarket registers do, but if the bread is already wrapped when it's on display, it ruins the freshness of the bread. The labor involved in attaching barcode strips to each loaf of bread also seems unrealistic.

That's where the Amazon Echo Show comes in! "The bread is wrapped while the name of the bread is read out. The bread is totaled and the price is shown to the customer by voice and on the screen. By the time you take the money out of your wallet, the wrapping is complete and all that's left to do is pay." If something like this could be realized, it would be a delight for both the store and the customer.
