his was stated in the report of the ANO "Digital Economy", the National Research University Higher School of Economics and the Analytical Agency RAEC, which the parties presented on January 30 at VDNKh. The document summed up the results of 2023 in the field of AI, and traced the trends in the implementation of this technology in educational institutions.
Russia is following in the wake of global experience. With the help of AI, education becomes better, and the controllability of educational processes increases, the report says.
· Individualization czech republic whatsapp number database – construction of individual adaptive educational models.
· Gamification of educational content.
· No-code - creation of IT products without writing code, using robotics and programming platforms.
· Training in AI technologies.
· Micro- and nano-learning - using short video fragments generated by AI.
The main sign of the times in pedagogy, according to the report, is the total use of ChatGPT, YandexGPT and other similar solutions by teachers and students.
However, experts fear that the use of AI may lead to changes in cognitive abilities. The habit of relying on AI reduces cognitive load and may negatively affect the development of critical thinking skills. In addition, the educational process may reach a dead end, closing in on itself.
Doctor of Pedagogical Sciences, laureate of the government prize in the field of education Lyudmila Bosova commented on some aspects of the report.
"For a long time, IT technologies provided people with "person-to-person" communication. Now is the time for "person-chat-bot" communication. Soon, thanks to artificial intelligence, we can get "chat-bot-chat-bot" communication, because a person will simply drop out of it. There is a risk for school education here too. We have examples when educational materials are created with the help of generative artificial intelligence. Teachers are delighted with the incredible methodological development of lessons, which completely satisfied the head teacher, and the teacher did not particularly need it. What happens? AI generated educational material, it also created a methodological development, where it provided homework, which was given to the student. He completed this "homework" with the help of artificial intelligence and gave it to the teacher for checking, who did not bother and checked it with the help of AI. The system works! But where is education? Where is the person? The main participants have dropped out," the teacher fears.
She said that she still believes in artificial intelligence, provided that a good teacher acts as a communicator with the student.
"Let AI do the student's homework, teach him something. The teacher's role is to find out how much the student understood the material, whether he can formulate an idea, a thought. Therefore, artificial intelligence can only help us," summed up Lyudmila Bosova.
Dmitry Rastvorov, Director of Government Relations in the Education Sector at Yandex, said that several years ago, AI elements were gradually introduced into the Yandex Textbook project, but the role of the teacher did not weaken.
"The project helps the teacher prepare for lessons and simplifies the routine process of checking homework. For several years, we have been very careful, at the recommendation level, in introducing AI into our service. This allowed the teacher to see the dynamics of homework completion and identify typical student mistakes. We offered the teacher options for assignments that would allow, taking into account all the information received, to effectively work on the child's weak skills. We have always insisted that it is not technology that teaches, but the teacher," says Dmitry Rastvorov.
In a commentary to ComNews, he expressed confidence that in the near future, the role of the teacher in education will remain unshakable, despite the development of artificial intelligence. But this role may change.
The trends that have been prevalent in AI learning in the past year are:
