How did you become a product manager?

At the invitation of Head-of-product Prom.ua, I returned to the company, but already as a business analyst. It was a "floating" role - I worked with tasks that few people wanted to do. This did not last long, as at some point we realized that the role of business analyst was excessive for the company. I retrained as a project manager, and then became a product manager of the CRM team, which is responsible for the internal infrastructure, sales tools and trade marketing.


I worked in this role for some time, and then the company structure changed. One south africa email list team became responsible for sellers, and the second one — for buyers. I headed the first one and became Head of Product — I managed products, which had their own teams.

What were the fears at work?
