Around a third (32 percent) say they tried contactless payment for the first time during the Corona pandemic, and 10 percent paid with a smartphone or smartwatch for the first time during this time. One reason for this: more than half (55 percent) find contactless payment more hygienic. For this reason, two thirds (69 percent) use cash less often during the pandemic than before. And 59 percent are sure that they will do without cash more often after the Corona pandemic. 6 out of 10 respondents (60 percent) also say that it bothers them if they cannot pay cashlessly with a card, smartphone or smartwatch. A majority of 57 greece gambling data percent therefore demand that all shops should be legally obliged to offer at least one electronic payment option in addition to cash payments. Rohleder: "It is long overdue that customers everywhere have real freedom of choice when paying. Digital and contactless payment should be accepted across the board just as much as cash."
