Using AMD Ryzen 7 9700X

Post by Rina7RS »

The AMD Ryzen 7 9700X offers good specs, but the most noticeable improvement over the previous generation is its significantly lower thermal output. That's great, but it may also disappoint fans expecting more significant improvements over the previous Ryzen 7000 series.

As you can imagine, when I first got my hands on the Ryzen 7 9700X, I was eager to see how this mid-range processor would perform in real life. Setting it up in my test rig was as easy as building a new PC. Getting things up and running takes time, and sometimes all sorts of unexpected issues arise. Luckily, that wasn’t the case this time, and everything went israel telegram data well from start to finish. If you’re interested, here are the components I used to build my desktop PC to test the AMD Ryzen 7 9700X:

Motherboard: ASUS ROG Strix X670E-A Gaming WiFi
Cooler: ASUS ROG Ryuo III 240 ARGB
Memory: Kingston FURY Renegade 32GB DDR5 7200MTs
Video Card: AMD Radeon RX 7900 XT
Storage: Kingston KC3000 PCIe 4.0 NVMe M.2 SSD 2TB
Monitor: ASUS ROG Strix XG32UQ 4K UHD
Power Supply: Seasonic Focus GX-1000
Desktop PC used for testing

The system I built felt fast and powerful right from the start. In addition to testing and running the benchmarks you’ll read about in the next chapter of this review, I also used this computer for work and everyday activities. Things like browsing the web with dozens of browser tabs open, streaming 4K YouTube videos in the background, and simultaneously downloading games from Steam were like a walk in the park for the AMD Ryzen 7 9700X.
