The PhD Programme in Law, Ethics & Economics for Sustainability (LEES) is an interdisciplinary Program of the University of Milan. The LEES aims at the creation of a global interdisciplinary research community that shares a commitment to the goals of sustainability. With courses, seminars, and scientific research activities held entirely in English, it addresses the complexities involved in sustainable development and uses a multidisciplinary approach that combines the contributions of law, ethics, and economics. There are 3 Doctoral Research investor database Positions, meaning that the LEES program is seeking three outstanding and committed students to carry out a three-year multidisciplinary research project, based at more than one participating university (see the call for application and the course website). BIICL Training Programme: Autumn 2022. The British Institute of International and Comparative Law (BIICL) has launched its programme of training courses for autumn 2022. The programme will cover trade and investment, migration and refugee law, labour law, cultural heritage law, cross-border dispute resolution and climate change law and litigation, energy law and law of the sea amongst others. Each course is convened and taught by international experts from BIICL’s own team in collaboration with external partners, combining academic expertise with practical experience in these fields of law. Discounts for group bookings and individual members of BIICL are also available. A limited number of scholarships are available for each course to enable participation from individuals who cannot otherwise join the courses, and for people from communities that are currently under-represented in the legal community.
