Apple's proposal for revenue sharing: 50% for the company and 50% divided among publishers has been heavily criticized. Without the participation of the most reputable American media, it is not surprising that the service is having difficulty attracting subscribers.

Facebook, which has signed multi-year, multi-million dollar iran cell phone number list deals with publishers including the Facebook News Tab, may be changing that. News Corporation CEO Robert Thomson said the new approach was “ exactly what publishers were asking for ” when the product launched last November. Publishers interviewed for the report couldn’t yet fully assess the usefulness of the products, but one thing is certain: They see them as just another tool.
