After a year of evaluation, the ICANN organisation has approved the .eus and .gal domains .
The ICANN (Internet Corporation for Assigned Names and Numbers), which is the organisation that manages Internet domains, has just approved different generic domains aimed at various linguistic and cultural communities. Seven years ago, the .cat domain was approved, a pioneer in this type of domain and aimed exclusively at the Catalan linguistic community, and now the ICANN has just approved the .eus and .gal domains for the Basque and Galician language and culture communities respectively.
It has taken several years of work to obtain the long-awaited domains, four years indonesia telegram data after their application to ICANN due to the large number of domain extensions requested, for example, the .bzh domain was requested for Brittany and the .scot domain for Scotland.
The new domains will remind the world every day of the existence of a Galician and a Basque community. The contract for the delegation of domains is expected to be signed by the end of the year or at the beginning of 2014, and registrations will then begin. Initially, registration will only be permitted for trademarks and public and private entities, and later it will be opened to the entire community that uses Galician on their web pages and wishes to use the new domain.
The .bzh domain for the Breton community has also been approved.
At the end of the presentation, Scher organised a question and answer session and a debate in which topics such as how to deal with clients and how to raise awareness among the new generations about the value of design were discussed in a relaxed manner.
Attending Paula Scher's Masterclass was a great opportunity and privilege for the entire web design team at La teva web.
The .eus and .gal domains are approved
