Facebook will choose 1% of lookalike audiences if you optimize for "similarity" versus 5% if you optimize for "reach." We've always opted for similarity optimization, although you may want to experiment with both, especially if you want to generate a large group. As you can see, a lookalike audience will include many more people than your original email list.

It may take 24 hours or more for your Lookalike Audience to appear. In the meantime, you can write your ads.
