Our region is being promoted as a tourist destination at a series of events that will run until the 11th in Paris, in which the Andalusian Regional Government's Department of Tourism, Trade, and Sport will invest €2.5 million.
'Andalusia Week in Paris' is an initiative, included in the 2006-2008 Marketing Plan, which aims to raise awareness of the region's diverse and rich heritage, as well as spark interest in the Autonomous shop Community among Parisians and visitors.
Trade fair booths will be set up at Trocadero, opposite the Eiffel Tower, offering ham and wine tastings, sevillana classes, and flamenco performances. In parallel, professional workshops will be held, during which 30 Andalusian companies will connect with 350 French travel agencies.
Likewise, there will be a gastronomic event at the Westin Hotel in Paris, featuring renowned Malaga chef Dani García, and entertainment activities in the streets to attract visitors to the exhibition and to Andalusia.
