Ever since we saw them in Star Wars in the late 1970s, holograms have become a strong part of the dreams of adults and children. But virtual communication through holograms has left the realm of dreams to drop anchor (very deeply) in reality.
P ORTL , a startup from Los Angeles, has developed a device that is 2 meters high and 60 centimeters deep that will allow us to emulate Princess Leia in Star Wars . The invention in question is a holographic booth that, initially focused on entertainment and advertising, could end up making its way into our homes as well.
The PORTL cabin, which weighs 180 kilograms, is not, however, very affordable, turkey number data with a starting price of around 50,000 euros. Thanks to the large size and 4K resolution of the device, the holograms projected onto the inside of the box boast of being extraordinarily realistic.
