It's nice to think that one person can solve all problems, but the reality is very different. Let's leave the heroes aside and try to grow the company through hard work, collaboration and diversity. The number one rule? Fail. And learn from it.

“For too long, many of us have been enchanted by ‘heroes .’ Perhaps it’s because we list of bahrain consumer email want to be saved, to not have to do the hard work, or to be able to rely on someone else to figure things out. We are constantly bombarded by politicians presenting themselves as heroes who will solve all our problems. It’s a seductive image, a tempting promise… and we continue to believe it. Somewhere there is someone who will make things better. Somewhere there is a visionary, inspiring, brilliant,

dependable individual, and we will all happily follow him. Somewhere… Well, ‘it’s time for all the heroes to go home,’ as the poet William Stafford wrote. It’s time for us to let go of hopes and expectations, which only breed dependency and passivity and provide no solution to the challenges we face. We must stop waiting for someone to come and save us . We need to face the reality of our situation – that we are all in this together and we all have a say – and figure out how to mobilize the hearts and minds of everyone, in our workplaces and in our communities.”

Margaret Wheatley.
