In the latest update, a new feature has been added that uses NTT Docomo's food identification system to allow users to take a photo of products from major convenience stores with the camera on the "Halal Gourmet Japan App," and use image recognition to notify them of whether or not the product contains any items that Muslims or vegans cannot eat.

In the future, we would like to try using geofences purchase shareholder database set up at airports to guide people arriving in Japan from overseas to nearby convenience stores, as well as push notifications to segmented stores.

In the long term, in addition to Muslims and vegans, there are other religions with food taboos, and we would like to address preferences, illnesses, allergies, etc. as part of our "food diversity" initiative. However, since providing a service that involves life and death comes with great responsibility, it is a difficult challenge and we need to proceed very carefully.
