Image Source It’s hard to explain why some songs continue to be popular after their initial popularity. For others it is so obvious that it is also difficult to express clearly. It’s incredible that September of the Year is still with us nearly years after its release for reasons both obvious and mysterious. A long time ago I would occasionally let September play on the first day of school when my students came into the classroom. Many of these kids were born in this century but somehow they still know the song well enough to sing along.
