New digital equipment for automating medical examinations has been installed at the Balakovo NPP. This was reported by the nuclear power plant's information and public relations department.
The Electronic Medical Examination System (KAP "ESMO") is capable of measuring blood pressure, pulse, and the presence of alcohol in the blood in an average of 1 minute and 10 seconds. Previously, this procedure was carried out manually by medical assistants at the health center and took an average of five minutes per person.
According to Maria Guskova, head ecuador whatsapp number database of the Balakovo NPP health center, about 200 employees undergo examination per day. Previously, it was not possible to conduct a pre-shift examination of everyone. Now, the nuclear power plant has seven digital terminals that provide full coverage of shift personnel.
The new terminals are also capable of conducting psychophysiological examinations in the shortest possible time. This procedure is mandatory for a number of positions, such as station shift supervisor, unit shift supervisor, and reactor and turbine shop specialists. The test is aimed at assessing heart rate, sensorimotor response to sound and light.
The medical staff of the nuclear power plant notes that the automation of pre-shift examinations has significantly reduced the time it takes to fill out logs. Medical records are generated immediately and then accumulated into a monthly report, in which you can see the indicators in dynamics. If necessary, the data is transferred to shop doctors, and the employee is sent for a more detailed examination to the Saratov Medical Center of the Federal Medical and Biological Agency of Russia.
"In addition to monitoring the current somatic and psychophysiological state of personnel before a work shift, an important task is being solved to prevent diseases at early stages. Maintaining the health of nuclear power plant workers is one of our priority tasks," noted Yuri Mezentsev, Deputy Director for Human Resources at Balakovo NPP.
The Electronic Medical Examination System (KAP "ESMO") is already in operation at many nuclear power plants in Russia. The Rosenergoatom concern plans to implement the system at all enterprises of the electric power division. This will automate and optimize the processes of monitoring the health of the concern's personnel.
