1. Yandex recommendations for optimization
We always recommend referring to the original source: Yandex recommendations for creating websites from June 3, 2015 .
Don't be confused by the fact that the title says "creation" and not "optimization". We are talking about the ideal: the developer creates a site according to Yandex requirements. This does not happen. Therefore, feel free to use these instructions when optimizing.

In 2013, Yandex presented a new way of "communicating" with websites: Yandex.Islands (also known as "Interactive Answers"). Now the user made purchases, ordered airline tickets, made an appointment with a doctor directly from the search results.
Beta versions of real islands were available. For example, the Ural Chamber of Real Estate provided its "island" for searching apartments:

And when making an appointment at a dentist's office in Moscow, you can see this extended snippet (there weren't any like this before):
